Breaking Barriers.
First Black QB in the NFL.

From a small steel town in Pennsylvania to the Chicago Bears, Willie Thrower defied racism and prejudice to become the NFL’s first African‑American quarterback. His 24‑game high‑school win streak and 1952 national championship at Michigan State proved long before the league did that he could lead under centre.
